To be an outstanding service Engineer,
one of the first few action you must focus on is to refresh your basic engineering knowledge.
Whichever maybe the branch of engineering you have specialized, it still holds
good. Just don’t be mentally lazy and easy going with a chalta hai attitude. It
does not help you in the long run.
The second aspect you must focus on is to
know your products. Get to know the different products that you must handle.
What are its basic features and functionalities? Read the user manual, it will
give you a lot of valuable inputs. Get hold of the service manual and read it
patiently. Get to know the operating conditions of the products.
